Analytical analysis performed in clinical laboratories by medical laboratory technician assists physicians in both the diagnosis and the treatment of pathological conditions. Medical laboratory technician perform and interpret a wide variety of tests, ranging from simple blood glucose tests to advanced molecular diagnostic assays.
Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) curriculum prepares medical laboratory technician that demonstrates professional competency in the clinical laboratory science field, including but not limited to the clinical areas of hematology, immunohematology, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, urinalysis, immunology/serology, and laboratory management.
While completing their Laboratory Technician courses students in the Certificate In Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) program gain “real world” experience in a variety of clinical settings.

The graduates will be eligible for the position equivalent to 5th level (technical) as Medical Lab Technician or as prescribed by the Public Service Commission. The graduate is eligible for registration with the Nepal Health Professional Council in the grade as mentioned in the Nepal Health Professional Council Act.
